Frequently Asked Questions
What books do you use in your curriculums?
The Full Year Library Curriculum and the Author Studies Curriculum each feature different books. Click FREE STUFF at the top of this page for all recommended book lists. I strive to create lessons with new titles, so you must purchase the books or use your public library. Most authors have three books, with some having two or four. Some activities can be edited to work with other read alouds.
What is the difference between the FULL YEAR LIBRARY CURRICULUM FOR K-5 and the AUTHOR STUDIES CURRICULUM?
The Full Year Library Curriculum has lessons on library skills and multi-class research projects. I received many requests for a curriculum with activities for one class and author and illustrator studies, so here it is! You do not need to purchase both. However, no books or lessons repeat, so you can grab both if you want!
I don’t have all the book titles. What should I do?
Utilize your public library or substitute with books that are in your collection. I strive to create new, relevant, diverse read alouds so many titles are new. Click FREE STUFF at the top to see all the recommended book lists. If a book becomes out-of-print, please contact me so I can update the lesson.
Do your lessons include standards?
All lessons are aligned to AASL Standards and Common Core Standards.
Can I do your lessons in 30 minutes?
3-5 lessons include a read aloud and writing or drawing activity. You can easily adapt for 30 minutes. I provide tips on how to adapt for shorter and longer classes.
I have hour long classes. Will these lessons cover that time?
Yes! Incorporate silent reading, check out time, read aloud, mini lesson, writing/drawing activity and free choice at the end, and you have a perfect class.
My students don’t have laptops. Can I still use your products?
The Author Studies bundle requires no computers. The Full Year Library Curriculum includes research projects with recommended websites.
Multiple librarians in my school want your resources. Do we get a discount?
Absolutely! Fill out the contact form with how many people are interested in buying and I can send you a special coupon code.
Do you accept purchase orders from schools?
I accept purchase orders for orders over $299. Fill out the contact form with what you want so I can send you a quote.
How are your products delivered?
After purchasing, you will get a PDF with links to download the files from Dropbox. You do NOT need a Dropbox account. Click the link, download the files, and unzip the folders. You can then edit directly in PowerPoint or drag the PowerPoints to your Google Drive to edit fully. The Author Studies Bundle is the only bundle that has links to Google Slide files. Everything is fully editable.
If this doesn't work for me, can I get a refund?
Refunds are not offered for digital products. Before you purchase, make sure to view the free lessons. I have given you many samples so you know exactly what you are getting. If you have any questions, please contact me.
